FCC Announces ECF Window to Open June 29

Today, the FCC announced the Emergency Connectivity Fund (ECF) 45-day filing window will open on June 29, 2021. The deadline for applications is August 13, 2021.

This window is for eligible services and equipment for the 2021 funding year (July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022).

Congress established $7.17 billion Emergency Connectivity Fund in the American Rescue Plan in March.  The ECF program allows schools and libraries to apply for financial support to purchase laptops and tablets, Wi-Fi hotspots, modems, routers, and broadband connections for off-campus use by students, school staff, and library patrons who otherwise would not have access to the Internet.
