FCC Moves Late-Filed ECF Applications to Second Filing Window

On September 21, 2021, the Wireline Competition Bureau released a Public Notice directing USAC to review and process all Emergency Connectivity Fund Program applications filed after the close of the first window with those filed in the second application window in accordance with program rules and requirements.

Applicants that certified and submitted their ECF FCC Forms 471 after the August 13 deadline will not be required to resubmit their applications during the second application filing window, nor will they need to file a request for waiver with the Commission.

The second window will run from September 28, 2021 until October 13, 2021.

The Commission stated that applicants should have sufficient time to file their applications timely; therefore, it does not expect to grant waiver requests for late filed applications absent a showing of extraordinary circumstances.
