FCC Proposes to Allow E-rate to Pay for Wi-Fi on School Buses

Today, Chairwoman Rosenworcel announced that she had circulated a draft declaratory ruling for consideration by the other commissioners that would allow wi-fi on school buses to be eligible for E-rate funding. 

The draft ruling is not public, and likely would not be until voted on by the other commissioners.  Given that the FY 2022 application window has closed, it is likely that the decision would be effective for FY 2023, if the Commission votes to approve the order.
