Today, the Wireline Competition Bureau granted a
Motion for Extension of time to file comments and reply comments in the
Promoting Fair and Open Competitive Bidding in the E-Rate Program
proceeding. Comments are now due April 27, 2022 and Reply Comments
are due May 27, 2022.
The Commission’s Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (Further Notice) that proposed significant changes to the Rural Health Care (RHC) program was published in the Federal Register today, setting the comment cycle.
On March 14, 2022, the Wireline Competition Bureau released a Public Notice announcing the E-rate and Rural Health Care (RHC) programs’ funding caps for 2022.
On March 3, 2022, the Wireline Competition Bureau (WCB) released an Order extending the Rural Healthcare Program deadline for filing Funding Year 2022 applications to June 1, 2022.
On February 22, the Wireline Competition Bureau (WCB) released an Order granting a waiver and extending the service delivery date to June 30, 2023 for all Emergency Connectivity Fund (ECF) applicants who applied for support for equipment, other non-recurring services, and recurring services during the first and second application filing windows.

On January 7, 2021, U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) sought comment on the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment Program; the Enabling Middle Mile Broadband Infrastructure Program; and the State Digital Equity Planning Grant Program. Comments are due on February 4, 2022, and may be submitted through the Federal e-Rulemaking Portal at http://www.regulations.gov with docket number NTIA-2021-0002.
