FCC Increased Broadband Speed Benchmark

On March 14, 2024, the Federal Communications Commission voted to raise the national fixed broadband standard from 25 Mbps download/3 Mbps upload, which was set in 2015, to 100 Mbps upload/20 Mbps download. 

The Commission also set a 1 Gbps upload/500 Mbps download long-term goal for broadband speeds.  The complete report can be read here.
